The Future of Technology is Tan Le

Written by The Kid on December 30, 2008

neo.matrix The Future of Technology is Tan LeIf you have never heard of Tan Le your about to experience her like never before. The company she has co founded Emotiv Systems have come up with a truly breathtaking technology that is truly epic and in some ways scary.

I just recently found out about Tan Le in the most recent issue of Inc. (which is a great magazine) she and her team have brought to market the first device which actually allows you to think about something and then have it do it on the screen. Yes Neo the matrix just got a whole lot more real.

I’ve included the video which she recently did at the Entertainment Group, this is a must watch.

Think about how much more work you could get done with about a tenth of the effort. The best part about Tan and her team is that they had a plan on how to capitalize on there investment right away by selling the technology to gamers, this is one technology that WILL become the standard.

How could you use this technology? Would You? What kind of problems do you think could come up?

It’s Alive, It’s Alive… Hip Hop is Born Again!

Written by The Kid on November 8, 2008

For most hardcore hip hop fans if you ask them what were the golden days of hip hop most people will say the summer of 96, as recently as 2006 Nas claimed hip hop was dead. Well i agree with him to a degree this is the year which seems hip hop is reborn. This in my opinion is the most anticipated year of hip hop ever with releases from Jay-Z to Kanye West and the elusive Dr. Dre.

    Eminem - Relapse - December 8th

It’s been a while since Eminem released an album his last album was a greatest hits with a few extra tracks, this albums seem to be very promising as long as he doesn’t pull the whole i’m white trash, my wife divorced me and my mom is on drugs, after 3 albums of it, it’s kind of getting old.

    Nas - Untitled - July 15th

200px-Nas_-_Untitledninthalbum Its Alive, Its Alive... Hip Hop is Born Again!

The new album by Nas has caused more controversy than maybe any other cd before it, as the title was originally slated to be N*gger which caused many civil rights activists to speak out including the likes of Jesse Jackson.

Ludacris - Theater of the mind - November 25th

200px-Theater_of_the_Mind Its Alive, Its Alive... Hip Hop is Born Again!

On the last few tracks luda has been on he absolutely killed it, this album promises to holding nothing back, Luda is in his prime right now, besides hip hop Luda is also an avid actor recently working with Guy Ritchie in the new movie Rock n Rolla.

Dr. Dre - Detox - Sometime in December

This album is most likely Dre’s last album and has been in production since 2002, ever since his last album The Chronic 2001 which was a mega hit, Dre has been working with artists and beats to make this finally album, it was done in September of 2007 but is just waiting to be released.

    50 Cent - Before I Self Destruct - December 9th

After the battle last year with Kanye West, 50 cent is back and looking to come back hard he has two projects on the go with his solo album and G Unit’s new album.

Kanye West - 808’s and Heartbreak- November 25th

200px-808nheartbreakcover Its Alive, Its Alive... Hip Hop is Born Again!

With the radio already blowing up with 3 hit songs from the album, Love Lock Down, Robocop and Heartless this promises to be a huge album for Kanye but with some people questioning whether Kanye’s style is still hip hop or a new form of pop with a T-Pain infusion, either way watch out for the album.

    T.I - Paper Trail - September 26th

200px-T.I._Papertrail Its Alive, Its Alive... Hip Hop is Born Again!

With a couple huge hits on the charts and with the hardcore fan favourite Swagger like us this album is T.I’s biggest and one of his best, this album is already hot and has some more legs.

    Jay-Z - Blueprint 3 - Sometime December

This is Jay-Z last album with Def Jam and many speculate that once this album is done he will be starting his own album with the help of Live Nation and bringing many artists with him, this album already has leaked tracks on the internet like Jocking Jay-Z.

With this list of albums this year hip hop is alive and here to stay!

Top Places to Watch the Election for NON Americans

Written by The Kid on November 4, 2008

So you’re outside the US but you want to know if they are going to elect the person you want to win, so you decide to watch the television but you realize you’re not getting the coverage you need, where do you turn? The interwebs of course!

MSNBC - Viewed as a liberal station. (Live video)

    CBS - Another liberal station.

Fox - If your a “conservative” person you will want to watch this network.

Hopefully this helps you watch the election as the US makes history.

Why Politics is BAD for business!

Written by The Kid on October 16, 2008

So here is my 1 post a month and of course is based around politics, It is said that there are three things you never speak about at dinner, Sex, Money and Politics.

Unfortunately Jonathan Volk didn’t hear that because he either did something really stupid or something brilliantly smart (still haven’t decided)

While i can’t say i know Jonathan i do know a lot of people that do know him, and from what i heard he is a nice kid, i subscribe to his blog and read what he has to say, he’s smart and knowledgeable but while i was reading his post today about the Mccain, Obama debate he did something very strange he chose a candidate and gave bad reasons why not to choose the other.

    Blowback

Things on the net don’t bother me and neither did this post, but what i noticed was he took a lot of heat for choosing McCain and not giving clear reasons why not to chose Obama, it was 14 comments in before 1 person decided to stand up for him, overall it would seem 90%+ of all commenter’s didn’t appreciate what he had to say.

picture-1-300x270 Why Politics is BAD for business!

picture-2-300x298 Why Politics is BAD for business!

Now out of all those commenter’s i will doubt any will unsubscribe but what it does is it affects there image of that person, and it tarnishes your brand slightly, for another example of tarnishing your brand see (John Chow).

The one thing i can say is that it is his blog and he can say what he likes, obviously that is the point of blogs is to have a voice, but one lesson i hope he takes away from this is that political opinions should be kept to yourself, and if you insist on sharing be prepared for whatever happens.

    Voting

As far as voting goes, just do it, if you don’t vote then you have NO right to complain about the government and you need to keep your mouth shut, find a candidate that represents you and what you stand for, don’t think just right and left, think about what is more important to you, then weight the pro’s and con’s and make your decisions, don’t vote democrat cause your dad was a democrat, and don’t vote republican because you think that means lower taxes, if you have low income tax but the American Peso is worthless worldwide then why do taxes matter? Find the candidate that represents YOU!

    Conclusion

Jonathan learnt a very good lesson i hope and i hope that he continues to write good posts and provides great content, while i will not be unsubscribing i will remember this incident and it will serve as a reminder of what not to do in a personal blog!

    What’s your opinion?
