It has begun

Sick African Child Well as of midnight tonight there is no more food for me for the next 30hours yup only water, but while i do this to raise money some people have no choice and are forced to live like this everyday. The charity i am doing the 30 hour famine for is World Vision, here are a few stats also here is a video that might encourage you to donate.

  • World Vision was founded in 1950 by Dr. Bob Pierce
  • World Vision Famine events like the 30 Hour Famine and 40 Hour Famine also help to raise money for impoverished countries. Typically, a group signs up to organize such an event, and then spends the next 30 or 40 hours abstaining from food, technology (are you crazy ;) ) or other things that are taken for granted and increasing awareness about world hunger.
  • According to World Vision’s annual report, in 2005, 87% of its funding was spent on programs, 8% on fund raising and 5% on management and general overhead.
  • World Vision has responded to famine in Ethiopia and North Korea, hurricanes in Central America, the tsunami in the Indian Ocean nations, earthquakes in El Salvador, India, Taiwan and Turkey, and war refugees in Kosovo, Chechnya, Sierra Leone, Angola, and East Timo
  • Here is a video as well for you to enjoy!

Please donate to me if you would like to change the world!

Making money online comes with many privilges and i would encourage you to please give and help out all the people less fortunate than us!

    Thank you

    -Greg

As much as I would love to join this and speed for 30 hours, I don’t think I would be able to do it :( I would still need to go to school with a car and eat. My wife is also the same because she can’t go without food for a few hours…she faints :( (fast metabolism)

A great supporter of World Vision is AIDtoCHILDREN.com

AIDtoCHILDREN.com is a dual-purpose site for building an English vocabulary and raising money for under privileged children in the most impoverished places around the world.

      Check it out at http://www.AIDtoCHILDREN.com

Honey, what John is saying is that this site raises money for World Vision. See: http://aidtochildren.com/HowWeHelp.html. Thanks, John. As a person who has dedicated her life to seeking justice for children around the world, this act is encouraging and gives perspective that every bit counts. We must let these children know that there is hope and that the rest of the world does care. I believe that all people are inherently good; that they hurt when they know that others are hurting and if given a way, they will move and stand up for justice. We just need an opportunity to do so. Here is your chance! Please donate to Greg’s fast and World Vision will make sure that your funds will go to bring justice and peace to innocent children whose rights are being denied, all over the world. If you are not able to give, financially, please stay educated and passionate on the issues of poverty and injustice that surround our world, today. Lets raise our voices (you all have an awesome medium by which to do this) on behalf of those whose voices are not being heard. God bless! Linda.
